About the Workshop
February's Theme: Claiming Your Space
This month's workshop will focus on the following goals:
How to "claim your space" as you play in a scene and/or walk through the world
How to respond to/play with individuals who are encroaching on your space (literally and figuratively)
How to play with specifics to drive the scene (away from the bad and to the good)
Desired Outcomes ("I CAN" statements)
I can play with confidence
I can address difficult situations with ease
I have 3 tricks I can use to change the direction/tenor of the scene
I feel comfortable using my authentic voice
About the Instructor
Camilla has been teaching, studying, and performing improv for the last 8 years. She started her improv career with the Yes! Lab and then moved over to the Bovine, where she now an instructor and performer. She has been a Board member of the Group Mind Foundation for the past 4 years, and is passionate about the "women in improv" conversation. Outside of improv, Camilla is an attorney who moved over to public education 5 years ago.
